2015 Fasting Prayer
“18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Gracious Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this New Year. We come giving You all the honor, glory, and praise You deserve. Thank You, Lord, for watching over the Shiloh Church, our families, and myself. We come asking that You forgive us of our sins that we have committed and help us to turn away from our wicked ways. Thank You Lord for continuing to mold and shape us into the Disciples of Christ that You have created. We know that You did not bring us this far to leave us. As we begin 2015, this New Year, the year of “The Manifestation of the Expectation”, please allow us to be committed to You, Your Word, Your church, and the vision You have given our pastor. Show us that you will Manifest our Expectations as we live out Luke 4:18-19. The Shiloh church is expecting You, Lord, to use us because The Spirit of the Lord is upon us, The Lord hath anointed us to preach the gospel to the poor; The lord hath sent us to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. This is our Expectation!
Lord please allow us to use the gifts and talents that You have given to be the Disciples of Christ, to save souls, and to increase Your Kingdom. As we enter 2015, please, encamp your angels around the Shiloh Church, our homes, our families, and me. Give angels charge to lead and guide us to the plan You have for our lives. Give us an ear to listen when given direction and instruction. This is our Expectation!
Lord, as we pray, we are asking that You continue to bring us closer together and in better relationship with You, so that all may feel the power of the Holy Spirit that You poured out in Acts 2. Lord let us have the faith that you will use the Shiloh Church to accomplish the extraordinary in 2015. This means that I will personally be extraordinary blessed in my faith, family, finances, focus, and favor from You. This is our Expectation!
As we fast and pray deposit inside of us Your spirit, the spirit of praise and worship, the spirit of giving/stewardship, the spirit of obedience, and the ability to change our community by lifting up Jesus and not ourselves. Lord, we are asking that as we run in 2015 that the Vision will be fulfilled and that You will Manifest our Expectations. Put inside of us new ideas to benefit and bless the church and the community. God we are asking that You stand with us as we claim the victory in all of our battles and situations.
Lord, please bless the Shiloh Church and the seeds that we are sowing through our time, our talents, and our treasures. Multiply them so that the harvest is greater than ever and that we see the addition of 2,400 disciples to Your Kingdom. We decree that people will come from far and near to be a Disciple of Christ at the Shiloh Church, because the Distance is worth the Difference. Allow us to do things that men think are impossible! Bless our families; remove any hindrances that will cause us not to be unified and fulfill the Vision of “The Manifestation of the Expectation” Lord, this is our Expectation!!!
Please hear my prayer and allow me to have the wisdom and strength to work the Vision in 2015. Lord, in the Name of Jesus, we rebuke satan, his demons, and anything that will separate us from You. Bless the Shiloh A.M.E. Church and continue to bless the first family. Bless our pastor and give him the wisdom to lead and direct Your people according to Your Will. Let nothing hinder us from executing the Vision that you have given. Lord we know, believe, and stand on your word, That You, Lord, are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. In Jesus Name we declare, decree, and Expect it. Amen
